The 2025 Grammy Nominations were announced on Friday, November 8.
Fans are excited to see their favorite artists nominated for prestigious Grammy Awards this year, with some earning nominations for the very first time.
The Grammy Awards feature four categories exclusively for country music: Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Song, which honors the songwriters. However, country artists are not restricted to these categories alone and can also receive nominations in the broader, all-genre categories.
Beyoncé, a renowned artist but newcomer to the country music scene, made a groundbreaking debut this year with her album “Cowboy Carter.” The album made history by spending four weeks atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to achieve this milestone.
Her single “Texas Hold ‘Em” also made history by becoming the first song by a Black woman to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, where it remained for an impressive 10 weeks.
