FERMENTED GREEN PAPAYA! CURES DIABETES, CANCER, IS RICH IN ANTIOXIDANTS AND HELPS PREVENT CARDIOVASCULAR AND NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES! THIS IS HOW TO PREPARE IT
|Papaya is a tropical fruit rich in essential nutrients such as vitamin A, C and potassium. The fruit also contains antioxidants and an enzyme known as papain, which can treat numerous ailments. Fermented green papaya is especially beneficial for our health. The fermented substance needs to be dried and then ground to powder, which can be added to meals or drinks or consumed with some water. The powder dissolves quickly when digested, and according to Japanese scientists, it has numerous benefits for our health.
Here are some of the health benefits of fermented green papaya:
A powerful antioxidant
According to the Heart Spring website, the antioxidants in fermented green papaya can fight free radicals in the body and neutralize their effect. Free radicals are highly dangerous and responsible for diseases such as cancer, while also accelerating the aging process. Make sure that your diet is rich in antioxidants in order to protect your body from the harmful effects of free radicals.
Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease on the rise which occurs when the body isn’t able to produce or use insulin anymore. A study from 2012 which examined the potential of fermented green papaya against diabetes showed that consuming a plant-based diet can reduce oxidative stress which is often a reason for diabetes. The study included a randomized clinical trial in which a group of people were given fermented green papaya for 14 weeks. The results showed that these people had lower levels of c-reactive protein in their blood and improved uric acid levels as well, which are important diabetes markers.
Cancer
Fermented green papaya and its effect on cancer has been the subject of numerous studies. Although scientists haven’t tested fermented green papaya specifically, they have studied the effects of papaya leaves, which have shown promising results. According to one 2010 study, papaya leaves extract can inhibit the growth of tumor cell lines. The scientists used human peripheral blood mononuclear cells to determine how the extract affects the growth of cancer, and discovered that it alters the immune system to defeat cancer.
Other health benefits of fermented papaya
Besides treating diabetes and cancer, fermented papaya may help with other health problems as well. According to one study, fermented papaya significantly reduces the risk of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, as well as ailments related to oxidative stress and inflammation. Additionally, fermented papaya boosts the production of interleukin, a protein that can heal wounds and minor infections. The fermented fruit also increases the levels of macrophages which can destroy bacteria and infections as well as free radicals.
How to make fermented papaya
Peel one papaya and remove the seeds, then cut the central part of the fruit and chop it into small cubes.
Now, make a salt and water solution, then pour it over the papaya cubes in a bowl.
Cover the bowl with a cloth next, then leave the fruit for a week.
After 7 days, transfer the pieces to sterilized jars and repeat the process again.
If you want to make the papaya pickled, pour a mixture of vinegar, brown sugar, sea salt and ginger over it, then cover the jar with a cloth and leave the fruit to ferment for a week.
For best results take the fermented papaya cubes 3 times a day after meals and drink plenty of water as well. Repeat the process every day and your health will be much improved soon!
